Mac Miller reveals his relationship status with Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande called him ‘boo’ at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, confirming Mac Miller’s relationship with the singer. But when did it all start?

The rapper reached out to Grande when he thought she would be a great artist to feature on the track “My Favorite Part” on his fourth album The Divine Feminine (out Friday).

“I wrote that love song before I saw her. We’re very good friends first and foremost,” Miller told PEOPLE at the taping of the AT&T Audience Network Presents series on September 12. “We made that song and started becoming close again. It’s very dope and I like how that worked out.”

Miller, 24, and Grande, 23, had previously collaborated on her hit song “The Way”, so it wasn’t the first time they’d worked together, but in this session it was like no time had passed.

The two performed “My Favorite Part” at the weekly music series and their chemistry was fierce. At the end of the song, Grande shook Miller’s hand, as though to thank him jokingly for doing business with her, and walked off stage.

“Pleasure working with you,” he said, to which she replied: “I’ll be in touch.”

After the cameras stopped rolling, Grande went back on stage to put her hands on his shoulders and they shared a sweet moment. She cupped his face in her hands, leaned in and kissed him, at which point Miller kissed her right back.

The two love making music and spending as much time together as they can, so it makes sense that the relationship was a natural progression of their friendship.

“We hung out for a long time and everything just happened organically. We love making music together – we do that always. But she’s my best friend in the world.”

And Miller enjoys their time together on stage as well. “We’ve performed together a lot – when “The Way” came out, we did all the shows,” he said. “We’re both relaxed – we just have fun. And everybody gets an ‘awww’ moment.”

The “awww” really comes in when he describes Grande to others.

“She’s just very warm and comforting,” he said. “She’s very caring but, also, we have a lot of fun. We go on adventures. Adventures can be driving around in the car aimlessly. It’s great to be able to do nothing and be doing so much.”

Ariana Grande denies plagiarism for The Way

Last year, Minder Music accused Ariana Grande of plagiarizing the song Troglodyte, recorded by The Jimmy Castor Bunch, and said they would sue the owner of the hit. The singer handed documents in federal court talking about what happened months after that.

Minder Music, British entity that has rights to the compositions and recordings of the band is suing “The Way” Ariana Grande, claiming that the song uses similar phrases “Troglodyte”: “What we’re gonna do right here is go back, way back, back into the team.”

But in new legal documents, Grande says she does not infinge NO copyright.

Although she admits that her song includes the phrase “What we gotta the right here is go back, back into the team,” the pop star denies he copied the letter.

Adding, she admits that she never asked permission to use parts of the song  “Troglodyte”  because she had no obligation on your part to do this.

She also countered the accusation of Minder saying they have rights over part of his music and that Minder can not process the sentence because it is not possible to recover picture in a basic sentence like this.

The pop star asked the judge to deny the request for a warrant that prevented the singer to sell the song and wants the lawsuit exonerated. She asks Minder pay for all costs of the proceedings.

Ariana Grande Performs at Pre-Grammy Show

Ariana Grande put the ‘Little’ in Little Black Dress as she stepped out in a positively miniscule sequinned number at the Pre-Grammy showcase at UMG!

The pint-sized singer was dressed well beyond her tender 20 years in the tight-fitting frock that barely grazed her derrière, exposing plenty of tanned skin.

Adding some much-needed height to her petite frame, the songstress completed her outfit with matching black platform heels as she strutted to Universal Music’s annual pre-Grammys brunch at Lure in Hollywood.

At the showcase, she performed her 2 latest hits: The Way, and Tattooed Heart.

Ariana Grande Performs At Schurr High School

Ariana Grande was at Schurr High School, a school located in the city of Montebello, California, to attend an event organized by Power 106 FM radio.

The Christmas singer  had acoustic versions of “Right There” and “The Way”. The presentation was held as part of a promotion organized by Power 106 in partnership with Republic Records (Ariana Grande’s label), in which the school would have votes in a poll on the radio site that would be entitled to have an exclusive concert by a singer.

The money raised was donated to the foundation Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which specializes in fighting Breast Cancer in the United States. In her Instagram, Ariana posted a photo thanking for his participation in the event and reminding her aunt Judy, who died of the disease.

Ariana Grande On Jimmey Kimmel Live

Performing The Way & Right There:

Watching this girl perform live is a pleasure to your ears! The uber-talented Ariana Grande blessed the stage of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday night (Oct. 15) with a double performance. Ariana’s debut album “Yours Truly” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 last month. The Boca Raton star became the first female singer whose first album debuts atop of the US charts since Ke$ha’s “Animal” in 2010. What did she perform?. Her new single “Right There” (sans Big Sean) and her smash hit “The Way” (again, sans Mac Miller). She vocally slayed both songs. Like Ariana knew that last night she could give her 100%. I mean, the vocal control, the whistle notes, and every little sound that came out of her mouth…Ariana was on fire on “Jimmy Kimmel” last night. The video for “Right There” is already shot, and should premiere any day now. Check out the videos and photos of Ariana Grande when she was at the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
