On September 14th, Ariana Grande had an interview at On Air With Ryan Seacrest to talk about new music and her upcoming 2017 tour Dangerous Woman Tour. Check out the interview below!
On March 11th, Ariana Grande appeared on Friday’s “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to discuss her new single “Dangerous Woman,” as well as pulling double duty as the host and musical guest of this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live.”
“The album is definitely the next step for me,” she revealed during her in-studio interview Friday morning. “It still sounds like me, but it feels like a more mature, evolved version. There’s a nice blend of the R&B vibes and a nice blend of pop vibes. The whole body of work is a little darker and sexier and more mature.”
The 15-track LP — featuring collaborations with producers Max Martin, Tommy Brown, Victoria Monet and Savan Kotecha — also includes the unreleased track “Let Me Love You,” a song that was written and recorded “over a year and half ago.” Like the Lil Wayne-assisted “Let Me Love You,” the other songs on the record will all paint a similar narrative from that epoch. “It’s interesting,” she cryptically teased.
The album, previously named after the song “Moonlight,” was renamed to illustrate the secure and empowered woman she is today and to rewrite the negative connotations of a woman in charge.
“I feel like this song represents more accurately where I’m at now,” she said, “and I feel like I want the [album] title to represent where I’m at as well. I want it to be strong and empowering because I’ve come into my own a little bit, where as before, I think I was afraid to be myself and make decisions and speak out about things I’m passionate about because I thought it would make me experience some of the stereotypes that women in power often face.”
Today, Ari is on the forefront of a boisterous feminist movement and has even written a “feminist manifesto” on the misogyny and double standards found in media coverage. The singer now has formed her own opinion on women who walk tall and speak their mind. “To me, that’s dangerous,” she said — and by dangerous, she means boss.
This weekend, Ari will kick off her media blitz and attend Saturday Night Live to deliver the debut live performance of “Dangerous Woman” and the new song “Be Alright,” out next Friday (March 18). Additionally, the former Nickelodeon star will host the live program for the first time ever and participate in a few self-deprecating sketches.
“Going into this, I wanted to make sure they didn’t hold back,” she said. “I really want them to make an [a**] out of me. I said, ‘Please! I want to be an idiot. I want to be a full-out idiot. I will do anything! Let’s be funny, ugly, dirty — let’s do it!'”

Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande are among the new stars scheduled to appear on Fox’s upcoming unscripted series “Knock Knock Live, ” hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
Fox announced that Bieber, Grande, Rob Gronkowski, Rita Ora, Martha Stewart, Robin Thicke and Bubba Watson will join a lineup of celebrity guests that previously included David Beckham, Luke Bryan, Common, Florida Georgia Line, Mike Holmes, Lea Michele and Meghan Trainor.
“Knock Knock Live” is scheduled to premiere July 21 at 9 p.m. The show will feature Seacrest and co-hosts surprising people at home with games, cash prizes and chances to interact with celebrities. It is produced by Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions.
Seacrest and an unnamed guest will tease the show Tuesday night with an appearance during Fox’s broadcast of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, in which they will surprise a fan at home.
Like her music, Ariana Grande is inescapable.
The pop princess currently has three singles dominating the airwaves, she performed two songs at the MTV Video Music Awards, walked away with a Moon Man for Best Pop Video for “Problem” with Iggy Azalea, and on Monday, the 21-year-old finally released her highly-anticipated album, My Everything.
Though her sophomore LP is projected to rule the charts its opening week, the world-at-large is still buzzing about her VMAs marathon, in which she opened the proceedings with “Break Free” by emerging from a spaceship, and concluded with “Bang Bang” alongside Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, who was clutching onto her noncompliant dress.
As Nicki’s ill-fated costume change continues to be a widely discussed keynote from the trifecta’s performance, On Air with Ryan Seacrest spoke to the former Nickelodeon star to get her opinion on the rapper’s major wardrobe malfunction.
“I don’t care. That was amazing. She’s such a pro for coming on, holding her [stuff] together like that and just, like, living and rapping and keeping it together. That was amazing,” Ariana praised. “I thought she did incredibly well, especially given the circumstance.”
Knee-high boots and skimpy rompers were also the stars of Ariana’s back-to-back spectacles. If you’re having trouble reading between her new wardrobe and lyrics, the former Nickelodeon star is making — if she hasn’t already — a transition from her childhood career to a full-blown mature pop star. The passage isn’t always a successful attempt, so Ryan questioned the songstress how she effortlessly crossed over.
“I don’t really know. I mean, I’ve just been so focused on music. I really feel like focusing on the music and really, like, letting the music tell my story, and introducing myself with music, and letting that be the statement sort of was it, I guess,” she said. “I wanted people to be talking about the music not anything else.”
Her My Everything record is in fact powered by tracks that introduce a coming of age. Ariana’s ballads “My Everything” and “Best Mistake” — which she revealed are her “two favorites” on the album — boasts mature relationship troubles and adult ambitions. In the interview, the pop-soul singer also said that fans can get their hands on remixes and exclusives that aren’t available with the iTunes copy by downloading the free messaging Line app.
