Ariana Grande’s Halloween interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

On October 30th, Ariana Grande’s guest appearance on the Halloween edition of The Ellen DeGeneres Show has aired. Unfortunately, she hasn’t performed her new single Focus as everybody has expected. Humorously, the artist dressed herself as a cow.

Ariana has played a fun game with Ellen, as she was blindfolded and had to smell three guys who wore different perfumes and had to guess which one was Ari. Check out the UHQ photos + videos below!

Ariana Grande talks ‘Ari’ fragrance with InStyle Magazine

On September 29th, Ariana Grande has a talk with InStyle Magazine to discuss things regarding her new fragrance Ari by Ariana Grande. Check out the interview below!

Ariana Grande bottled up her favorite personality traits into her first fragrance, Ari. “It’s sexy, playful, and sweet, just like me,” the 22-year-old pop star says of her scent, now available for $49 for 1.7 fl. Oz. at ulta.com. “I thought was going to be hard to mix sweet and sexy, but this all came together. I really wanted to give my fans a piece of me—my own favorite smell.” Here she explains the ingredients that make her spritz full of life.

So is it cool to call you Ari now?
“My family calls me that. I wanted that to be the name because the fragrance is so personal. I wanted to give people a piece of me. This is really a statement that says, ‘Here I am!'”

You said you wanted this scent to be sexy, hence the notes of creamy musk and blonde woods. When do you feel your sexiest?
“Right before I do a show, when I’m getting into my costume and when I’m in it.”

More so than when you’re on the red carpet?
“Well, I did feel so pretty in the white Versace dress I wore to the Grammys this year. But honestly? I feel my sexiest when I smell good. [Laughs.]”

How convenient! Though, you have so many tattoos. Don’t you think those are sexy, too?
“Those are more personal. I have a bunch that I feel like people haven’t seen yet because they’re secretive and small. I have 10 total, but you can only see six of them. One of my favorites is the crescent moon on the side of my neck. I never really share the meanings behind my tattoos because tattoos are so personal.”

Also, you’ve made your cat-eye liner pretty much your signature sexy look. How did you become such a beauty pro?
“It took forever but I think I’m there. I think I mastered it by practice and prayer. I use the Smashbox black liner ($22, sephora.com) and the Chanel eyeliner in liquid brown and black ($35, chanel.com). Those are my two favorites.”

You represent your playful side in Ari with aromas like grapefruit and raspberry. IRL, where do you have the most fun?
“Snapchat! [Her username is Moonlightbae.] I love taking candid, funny videos. There is no time to filter or edit—it’s a way for me to directly connect to my fans. Though, I have to admit, I feel so hilariously awkward taking selfies. I pray people aren’t watching.”

What about relaxing? Do you ever get a chance to do that?
“Meditation like clears my mind but I feel like it’s also hard work because it’s hard for me to clear my mind. I do get to relax. I love snuggling up and watching movies, writing in my journal, and watching something good on TV. I used to love Gossip Girl. I love America’s Next Top Model and American Horror Story. I’m a big Scream Queens fan, for the obvious reasons. I also love reading a good book. I just re-read God Wears Lipstick for the billionth time. I feel my coziest when I’m wearing yoga leggings and slippers and a crop top and a hoodie with my fragrance on because it smells really good [laughs].”

Of course, always the fragrance! You also wanted your scent to be sweet. The pear and marshmallow do the trick. What’s the sweetest thing about you?
“That’s such a tough one. I guess that I’m such a romantic. I’m so traditional when it comes to that stuff. Love, for me, is laughter, respect, good conversation, genuine support, and more laughter.”

Has anyone come close?
“The last time someone did something sweet for me was when I received a lavender flower arrangement and a cryptic card. I eventually figured out what the message meant, and it was so rewarding.”

Well, what did it mean, Ari?!?
“I’m not telling. It’s a secret.”

Ariana Grande visits Ulta in Chicago, IL for her perfume ‘Ari’

Ariana Grande met with employees at Ulta shop on Roosevelt Rd. Oct. 2, 2015 and sprayed her Ari by Ariana Grande perfume around the store while in Chicago for her concert at the United Center. Check out the interview she had there + videos and photos below!

[su_spoiler title=”Interview”]Ariana Grande scooted around the Ulta store in the South Loop Friday in her platform shoes, spraying her Ari fragrance like it was pixie dust. On the receiving end of the sprays were store employees who had been sworn to secrecy about the surprise appearance, and a few customers with spectacular timing. The visit took place hours before the pint-size singer’s show at the United Center, her second headlining show in the Chicago area this year.

“I’m just polluting the air,” Grande said before putting her perfume back on the display table at the store’s entrance.

Grande partnered with Ulta on the sale of her Ari fragrance and has stopped by other store locations during her tour to meet with employees and leave behind signed items for fans. She greeted employees at the South Loop location with hugs rather than handshakes, invited them to take selfies with her and signed autographs.

“Do you want me to write a message?” she said after signing one fragrance box.

Either reports of diva behavior have been greatly exaggerated — or Grande was going out of her way to make those reports a thing of the past. Grande came off as a regular 22-year-old during our brief interview, except for the fact that she was being shadowed by security, managers and her personal photographer.

Grande got her start on the Nickelodeon shows “Victorious” and “Sam and Cat,” and recently returned to television with a recurring role in Fox’s “Scream Queens.” She plays Kappa Kappa Tau sorority girl Sonya (aka Chanel No. 2) in the whodunit slasher series. Her character appeared to get killed off in the pilot, but some have questioned whether she is really dead because her body is missing.

“We don’t know anything,” Grande said of the show’s killer (or killers). “We get the script the week of, we read it, we’re excited. Because I’m involved with it, I like it that way. But if I’m at home watching it, I would hate it, like, ‘Give me every answer right now. I want to know everything.’ “(Fans are) like ‘Are you really dead? Are you Boone? No, I’m not Boone. But you will see me again.” (Boone is the gay frat boy played by fellow pop star Nick Jonas.)

Acting has mostly taken a back seat to Grande’s music, with the “Problem” and “Break Free” pop star so far releasing two studio albums, both of which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Has she had to pass up good acting roles due to her music schedule?

“I have three amazing managers who take very good care of all of the things that come and go, and most of them I don’t really hear about,” said Grande, who will appear in next year’s Zoolander 2. “I’m really focused on music and touring. If I do hear about it, it’s probably something I’m able to do with my schedule, so I’m not really sure. That would be a question for my managers, but this is an interview with me, so never mind. That’s an awkward answer. Sorry.”

Ariana Grande talks fragrance & video shoot for Focus On Me with WWD

Today, September 11th, an article was published about Ariana Grande. The singer was interviewed about her fragrance Ari, her upcoming single Focus On Me, and personal stories including her fears and family. Read the article below, pointing out the important information.

“My brother Frankie is obsessed with it and wearing it everywhere,” said Grande in a phone interview with WWD, taking a break from her 88-show “Honeymoon” tour. “He’s always like, ‘I need a new bottle.’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t have a bottle! I need one for myself!’ He keeps stealing mine!”

“One of my big fears is something happening to my voice, because vocal chords are fragile little things, and it is so easy for something to go wrong when you’re singing as much as I do every night,” she said. “The good news is I went to the doctor yesterday to have my [vocal] chords looked at. So he scopes me — and it turns out they were even in better shape than they were before the show, which means that I’m singing properly.”

After a Friday concert in Los Angeles, Grande’s got a video shoot scheduled. “We’re starting the creative process for the next album, and we’re going to be shooting a whole bunch of stuff,” she said. “But it’s the best music I’ve ever made. I feel like I’m always attached to every album as I’m making it, so I’m probably going to say that about every album, but this one feels really special.”

Speaking of making things she’s attached to, Grande is eager to get her first scent on counters this week. “I wanted it to be personal, especially if I’m going to call it Ari,” said Grande. “I’ve been obsessed with smells my whole life. One year I got a gift basket [with fragrances]. I’d put the lotion on every day, the body spray every day — I would walk around my house literally smelling like a bakeshop. I’m not just slapping my name on some perfume I think smells OK. I am genuinely obsessed with it. I can’t walk past the bottle in my room without spraying on me 14,000 times.”

“I learned a lot about what notes work together,” she said. “[I found that] a lot of my favorite fragrances have juicy raspberry and marshmallow in them, just like mine. I like fruity and sweet fragrances.”

Grande noted that she was intrigued with how the scent smells different on different people, given their body chemistry. “One of my best friends, Tyler, was wearing it, and walked past me. I was like, ‘What’s that? That smells good,’ and he was like, ‘It’s your perfume!’”

“I wanted the bottle itself to look really old school, like something you would see in an old movie,” said Grande.

“The cool thing about the fragrance is that it’s hand in hand with the ‘Be You’ campaign, using #BeYou,” said Grande. “I want to inspire my fans to be unapologetically themselves, celebrating our differences, boosting each other up rather than tearing each other down and meeting society’s ridiculous standard of beauty and perfection. It’s really nice now and then to be reminded that being yourself is more than enough. You’re totally perfect. That’s so cheesy to say, but it’s true.”

It will simultaneously launch in the U.K., Germany and Australia. “This deal will help us secure our position in the fragrance industry,” said Tony Bajaj, president and chief executive officer of Luxe Brands, Grande’s fragrance licensee. Bajaj founded Luxe Brands in 2014.

Grande will make a personal appearance supporting the fragrance at Macy’s Herald Square on Wednesday. She lamented the fact hat she wouldn’t be able to hit New York Fashion Week. “I’ve never gone, and always wanted to,” she said. “But I’ve got so much prep to do for this next album, so not this season.”

Next up for Grande is Fox’s “Scream Queens,” coming out on Sept. 22. “It’s really funny and it’s really dark and scary at the same time,” she said. “Comedy and horror are my two favorite genres, so the combination was great.” She’s also said to be filming Zoolander 2, tentatively scheduled for a 2016 release. She also has a single coming out. “I haven’t announced the date yet, but it’s called ‘Focus on Me,’ and my album will follow shortly thereafter. I’ve been working on it while I’m on tour, because I’ve felt really inspired. I’m pretty honest [on this one].”

Ariana Grande to launch first fragrance in the fall

Pop superstar Ariana Grande hopes for big things from her first fragrance.

The Grammy-nominated singer and actress signed a deal with Luxe Brands for a scent to launch in department and specialty stores in September. She becomes the latest pop performer to enter the fragrance arena.

“I have always been obsessed with perfume. I always carried like six different scents in my bag, another three in my suitcase and another couple in my car,” said Grande in a statement. “I’m asked so often about which fragrance I’m wearing, or if I have a signature scent. I do have favorites, but I really want to create something that encompasses everything I love…which is why I am so excited to create my personal fragrance I can call my own.”

The soulful singer, also known for her fashion style, said fans encouraged her to enter the fray. She has more than 24 million Facebook and Twitter followers with another 25 million following her on Instagram.

Within less than a year, Grande captured the number-one spot on the Billboard Top 200 twice, first for her debut album “Yours Truly” in 2013 and then for the follow up “My Everything” in 2014. She began her career on Broadway in “13,” the musical, before becoming a tween sensation on Nickelodeon’s “Victorious.” She recently performed at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, The Grammys, “Saturday Night Live” and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

“Ariana Grande is an incredibly special talent,” added Tony Bajaj, Luxe chief executive officer. “With this launch, Luxe brands adds to its growing and strategically diverse portfolio.” Luxe Brands include Joy Forever, the Jean Patou fragrances and lifestyle collections in partnership with The Natori Company.
