Ariana Grande rumoured to guest star in Nickelodeon’s ‘Game Shakers’

Are Josh Peck and Ariana Grande returning to Nickelodeon? We thought we were dreaming, but this actually happened.

On September 15th, Nickelodeon show creator Dan Schneider, who brought you such amaze creations as Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, Victorious, and iCarly just teased some pretty cool buzz.

He took to Twitter to show off a pic of Josh from Drake & Josh fame and Ariana as her character Cat Valentine and asked what either of the pics “have to do with this Saturday’s BRAND-NEW episode of #GameShakers.”

This comes on the heels that former Victorious star Matt Bennett is making an appearance on Dan’s new show, Game Shakers, as well as Nathan Kress (from iCarly), who recently teased he was “Freddie-ing” and showed off a very Freddie Benson haircut. Sounds to us like some major old school cameos will be coming our way on Game Shakers…what better reason to tune in on Saturday? We can’t wait to find out what it has to do with this weekend’s episode, but we already know we’ll be excited if Ariana or Mr. Purple (who have both starred on Victorious and Sam & Cat) makes an appearance! The episode of Game Shakers will air on September 19th on NICK. tumblr_mgxptyd3qh1qd8z57o1_500 For more information, please follow us on TwitterFacebookInstagram, and YouTube.

Nickelodeon to possibly revive ‘Victorious’ show

Today, Nickelodeon has announced that there will be revivals of some classic shows, and the famous sitcom VICTORIOUS, by Dan Warp might take the slot! Check out the article below!

Before SpongeBob SquarePants, before Dora the Explorer, before “iCarly,” there was still Nickelodeon.

The Viacom-owned kiddie outlet rose to notice on the backs of programs like “The Adventures of Pete & Pete,” “Double Dare” and “Hey Dude!” And now, its top programming executive suggested, the network is considering ways to bring a small handful of its oldest programs back to its schedule.

“We are looking at our library to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way,” Russell Hicks, president of content and development at Nickelodeon, told Variety.

Under the plan, the network might seek to experiment with retooled versions of classics that could include “Rugrats,” “Hey Arnold!” “You Can’t Do That on Television” or “Victorious.” The shows might not come back as series, but could appear in other formats, like a movie or special. And they likely would not constitute the bulk of the network’s development efforts.

Hicks declined to talk about specific programs under consideration, but noted the generation that watched Nickelodeon in its earliest days — it was formed out of an entity known as Pinwheel backed by a predecessor of Time Warner Cable — now has children of its own. “We are getting ready to bring back some of the ones they’ve told us multiple times they want to have brought back,” said Hicks. – (OMG! Did they see our heavy demand to see a Victorious reunion?!)

Some might say the effort has quietly begun. Kel Mitchell, co-star of the popular Nickelodeon series “Kenan & Kel,” will have an ancillary role in “Game Shakers,” a new series set to debut Sept. 12.

Daniella Monet (Trina on Victorious) also tweeted this after the “rumours” of Victorious’ reunion, and even Ariana Grande herself favorited! What do you think is true?

Even Matt Bennett (Robbie) and Liz Gillies (Jade) have agreed on this idea! I think it’s happening, folks.

Sam & Cat is officially cancelled

After being put on a “permanent hiatus” in April following some behind-the-scene drama, Nickelodeon hit comedy series Sam & Cat has been being officially cancelled, with promos for the last produced episode, No. 36, #GettingWiggy, calling it a series finale. “Nickelodeon will not be producing more episodes of Sam & Cat,” the network said in a statement. “We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best.”

[spoiler intro=”” spoiler title=”Ariana Grande’s message about the show”]

So the news is out about Sam & Cat. I felt it wasn’t my place to make any sort of announcement so I kept quiet until now. I want to thank Nickelodeon for making a childhood dream of mine come true, for being a family to me, for being so accommodating and supportive of my multitasking with my music career, and for of course introducing me to many of my fans however many years ago. I want to thank Dan Schneider (@DanWarp) for allowing me to play such a special, beautiful character who I hid behind for so long. What I mean by that is when I was younger, people loved Cat so much I used to pretend to be more like her. It took me a long time to be brave enough to separate myself and show people how different we actually are…. I think that’s honestly because I admire her so much. Her appreciation for life and everybody she encounters. Her passion and genuine excitement for the little things that most people dread like school projects and work. She always saw negative obstacles as opportunities to make things good.
I will always hold Cat near and dear to my heart and appreciate her help in my personal growth from teenager to adult. I know she seems like a simple, daft character (and she is) but she played such a huge part in my life I just wanted to express my appreciation for her and share some of the things I love most about her. I think a lot of people could take a page out of her book…… she wouldn’t judge anybody by their appearance…. she believed the best in people…. she wasn’t afraid of anything or anybody…. she never let people’s judgements hold her back from doing what she wanted, acting how she wanted, dressing how she wanted wanted, dying her hair however she wanted… she never held back her enthusiasm or joy for fear of appearing some sort of way or for fear of jinxing the good that is real (which is something I personally do all the time but I wish I could shake that and celebrate every little thing like she does).

One of my favorite things about Cat was that she never lost her sense of wonder. As we grow up we become more and more jaded and fearful of how we come across. We hold back a little more, protect ourselves a little more and although Cat goes through the same ridicule as anybody else does growing up, she never changed or lost her childlike wonder. To me that’s the bravest, most special thing about her. She actually reminds me a lot of Frankie in that way.
So I know a lot of people will think this is a lot for some ‘dumb’ kids show character…. but to me she is actually a lot smarter, stronger and braver than all the rest of us.

Hopefully we’ll find out one day if Cat & Robbie ever got married. If I had any say in the story from here on out I’d make sure they were happily married with sweet, eccentric, Jewish, artificially red headed babies. Cat would constantly find herself reminding Aunt Sam to leave the butter sock and other dangerous weapons out of the house. They’d live down the street from Jade and Beck, also happily married with purple and black haired, pale, grungy, beautiful, goth babies. 🙂

Thank you to the cast and crew who I spent almost every day with for a good 4 or 5 years. Thanks for lighting us beautifully, shooting us beautifully, making the most incredible props, yelling at us when we were running late to set, keeping us on track and most of all for making it such a positive work environment. The guys behind the scenes couldn’t have been more pleasant or hard working and I appreciate them for that so much. I can’t imagine that there is a more pleasant or professional crew in Hollywood.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to a true friend of mine, Dan Schneider. I will never take these memories or lessons learned for granted.

Lastly, thank you to my fans who have been with me since all of this started… you are the most loyal, dedicated and continuously loving supporters I could ever imagine. We’ve been through so much and you are still here… and we’ve got a long way to go. 🙂
Thank you for believing in me, accepting me and loving me. I love you forever.

Sam & Cat had been a runaway success by any measure. The series, from proven hitmaker Dan Schneider, brought together two popular characters from two popular Nick series – iCarly’s Sam Puckett and Victorious‘ Cat Valentine — played by two of the network’s best-known stars and best friends, Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande, respectively. The series has been a ratings hit, quickly becoming Nickelodeon’s highest-rated series. Last July, only a month into Sam & Cat’s run, Nick doubled its freshman order from 20 to 40 episodes. Its hourlong Jan. 18 episode drew 4.8 million total viewers.

But as production went on for Sam & Cat‘s 40-episode first season, rumors started circulating about discord on the set, with emotions running high and McCurdy and Grande sometimes showing up late. The grueling, 40-episode shoot had been taxing on everyone. Additionally, McCurdy had been going through a difficult time in her personal life for the past six months and recently had to deal with the leak of racy photos, while Grande’s music career has taken off big time. Both have been at Nickelodeon for a long time, McCurdy for more than seven years and Grande for more than four. Both are entering adulthood, and word is both were feeling constrained at kids-focused Nickelodeon and are ready to move on.

Things came to a head in late March when McCurdy publicly accused Nickelodeon of unfair treatment. She also fueled speculation about a rift with her longtime best friend Grande by un-following Grande on social media and not joining her co-star at Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards. A few days later, production on the series was shut down with four episodes from Season 1 left to shoot. They will not be filmed, and there will not be a second season either. Meanwhile, Nick is in production on the new comedy series from Schneider, the 20-episode Henry Danger.

The next day, Sam & Cat are arguing with a man about their broken window and then a guy from the drone company comes in and notices Sam & Cat’s broken window and offers them a full month of free drones dropping off any items they want and the man too. Sam & Cat are later getting lots of packages from lots of drones while Nona is babysitting their baby. Nona is annoyed with Sam & Cat’s obsession with the drones. Sam is packing a item she wants to get refunded. Cat agrees to put it on their doorstep while Nona wants Cat with come with her to drop the baby off with the mother. Cat drops of the package off at their door and Nona drops the baby next to the package and goes to get something she forgot for the baby and Cat has to pee. The drone then comes and mistakenly picks up the baby carriage instead of the package. Nona comes out and sees the carriage gone and looks up at the sky and sees the drone taking away the baby and she screams. Cat and Nona are calling the drone company about the drone picking up the baby while Sam is calling Tubba Chicken for spicy chicken. Sam, Cat, and Nona decide to go to the drone company and get the baby. At the company, they ask the same guy that was in their apartment about the baby and he reveals the drones mistakenly pick up the wrong things all the time, like babies, pets, and snakes, and wigs. They go to a room where the keep all the items mistakenly carried by the drones. Then Sam & Cat don’t remember which baby is the baby they were babysitting because there is at least 7 babies. Nona then comes up with an idea that the baby laughed when she fell down and that’s how they can find out which one is the right baby. Sam pushes Nona down and one of the babies laughs and they pick up that baby. Then Sam & Cat start to leave while Nona is still on the ground. One of the drones picks up Nona’s hair and rips it off her head. Sam & Cat laugh at Nona’s bald head. And the three go back home to eat chicken from Tubba Chicken. [/toggle] [toggle title=”FACTS”]

Ariana Grande Interviewed On Entertainment Wise

EntertainmentWise

Ariana and Nathan’s Relationship

Ariana Grande has revealed that it took some time for things to hot up between her and The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes.

The 20 year-old actress-singer admitted that she noticed the hunky boyband star months ago, however it took a while for her to pluck up the courage to act on her feelings.

“I saw him in March on a red carpet, and we locked eyes with each other all night. I thought, he was cute as hell. Nothing happened obviously and then, the duet came about,” she recalled.

It wasn’t until the opportunity arose for the pair to duet together on the song ‘Almost Is Never Enough’ featured on the ‘Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones’ soundtrack, that Ariana summoned up the courage to get to know Nathan, 20, better.

“We hadn’t met really still, until we shot the video,” she said. “It was a really fun day – he was very sweet and cute. We started talking and then it just went from there. No, actually we didn’t really start talking until we met again at Justin Bieber’s tour in August.”

The couple later announced their relationship on Twitter in September, after weeks of speculation about their romance.

“So, I guess it’s obvious now… thanks to everyone who is being so lovely. I’m so happy #butweareterrified #pleasedontkillme #orariana,” Nathan wrote.

Ariana added: “We hesitated saying anything as people can be a bit insensitive but thank u we value all of your happiness, thank you for valuing ours :).”

Ariana explained to EntertainmentWise this week that the cute couple wanted to wait a while before making any announcements about their burgeoning romance.

“We were still trying to figure it out, we both have really open relationships with our fans so we wanted to tell them when there was something to know because we didn’t want them to find out through some outlet or some weird source.

“So we just felt like it would be more honest to tell them straight up because if there’s something to be said I’d rather it come from me and him and we felt the same way.”

Music & Acting Career

The Almost is Never Enough singer chatted to EntertainmentWise this week and was more than happy to discuss rumours she might be trying to ditch her tween star image – something that she insists isn’t true.

“I’m not trying to escape my Nickelodeon persona,” Ariana explained, “It’s still a massive part of my life. I’m still filming Sam and Cat and Cat’s still very important to me and holds a very special place in my heart.”

While some child stars change their image in order to attract a more mature audience, the 20-year-old reveals that adjusting her image is not something that she can herself do consciously. Instead, Ariana would like to think that these changes will happen naturally with time.

“As far as the whole transition thing, I don’t really ever see myself thinking or doing something to make the statement. I think I just want to let my music be separate from my television persona,” she revealed.

“I want there to be a Cat and an Ariana,” she says, referring to the American teen sitcom she stars in alongside iCarly star Jennette McCurdy. “I’ve done a good job of separating that and then whatever happens from there happens from there.”

Although she might not be in a hurry to ditch her teen star image, Ariana – who is currently dating The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes – does admit that she is growing up but, luckily for her, this hasn’t come with any reckless side effects!

“I’m growing up but I don’t have any crazy impulses yet.” She admitted. Hopefully it’ll stay that way!”
