Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are ending things as a couple, and their engagement has officially been called off.
Sources close to the former couple tell TMZ they split this weekend, with both parties acknowledging that it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off. “We’re told the two still have love for each other, but things are over romantically.”
Ariana and Pete announced their surprise engagement earlier this year in June — just a few weeks after they were reported to be just casually dating. Grande’s engagement ring cost right around $100k.
Grande’s recently expressed she was going through a rough patch, tweeting a lot of personal messages and saying she needs a break from the public spotlight and asking “can i pls have one okay day. just one. pls.”
As for Davidson, he’s continued to appear on SNL, even mentioning his former fiancee in a couple sketches. The last time we saw them together was just last week.
Our source says while things may be done for the couple for now, the two aren’t ruling out the possibility of anything in the future.
The whole year running this site has been the biggest year for Ariana Today, and Ariana herself. It has been another amazing year updating as the #1 Ariana Grande fansite, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you.
It’s been 5 years, and I have never grown out of the endless support that you’ve all shown. With all of the success Sweetener has accomplished, I’ve never been more proud of Ariana especially with all that she’s been through.
Throughout all of the darkness and failures, she fought with kindness and light, and thus conquered against evil, making one of the biggest steps in the world and showing us how strong love is. This is another testament of why I’ve made a fansite for this woman 5 years ago.
A big shoutout to my good friends Marie (@bemybabydlx) and Darius (@tattooedreams) and our newest member and long time friend Matt (@shookgrande) for helping me run the fan page with nearly 200,000 followers, as these updates would be non-existent without their contributions.
Thank you Savan, Ariana’s team, family and friends (yes you too Kiyan, if you’re reading this), for showing love and acknowledging us. Lastly, thank you Ariana for constantly stalking our tweets and noticing us. We love all of you!
Can’t wait to enjoy another year with y’all. Don’t forget to stream Sweetener! 😉
On December 11th, Billboard published their 2017 Year End Charts, whichare a cumulative measure of a single or album’s performance in the United States during the year. I just wanted to write a small thank you and appreciation for all of you who have been continuing to check us out for the quality content the Ariana Today team brings you daily. August 26th marks 4 whole years since Ariana Today has launched.
There is never a year where I have felt like giving up or quitting this fan page biz ever since I started. It is because of YOU, the Arianators, who have been supporting us for however long you have been here. Whether it is from 2013 when we were @ArianaTodayCom, or from when you just started following us this year, we thank you.
I’d like to thank Marie (@bemybabydlx) and Dari (@tattooedreams) who have continued to stick by me and make the best out of what this fan site is to this day. I cannot be thankful for their commitment and efforts into updating you guys 24/7.
Last year I have mentioned how our goal was to reach 2,000,000 visitors before the 4 year anniversary, and I am proud to say how we are nearly at 3 MILLION visitors! We truly couldn’t achieve all of the success within the year without all of you!
Thank you all once again, and I hope to see you all for the 5 year anniversary! 😉
On May 27th, Ariana Grande finally released a statement following the Manchester tragedy that took place on May 22nd.
She announces that she will be returning to Manchester “to spend time with [her] fans” and to have a benefit concert “in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families.” More details will follow later on.
They Mac Miller were both out picking up some food when a “young man” approached the couple, excitedly telling Miller that he was a fan.
“He was loud and excited and by the time M was seated in the driver’s seat, he was literally almost in the car with us. I thought all of this was cute and exciting until he said ‘Ariana is sexy as hell man. I see you, I see you hitting that!!!'”
“Hitting that? The f**k??” she continued. “This may not seem like a big deal to some of you but I felt sick and objectified. I was also sitting right there when he said it.”
Ariana “felt really quiet and hurt” after the encounter and that these are the “kinds of moments that contribute to women’s sense of fear and inadequacy.”
“I am not a piece of meat that a men gets to utilize for his pleasure,” she wrote. “I’m an adult human being in a relationship with a man who treats me with love and respect.”
Grande went on to say that it “hurts my heart that so many young people are so comfortable” when it comes to using phrases that objectify women “with such ease.”
“We need to talk about these moments openly because they are harmful and they live on inside of us as shame,” she concluded. “We need to share and be vocal when something makes up feel uncomfortable because if we don’t, it will just continue. We are not objects or prizes. We are QUEENS.”
seeing a lot of "but look how you portray yourself in videos and in your music! you're so sexual!" …. please hold.. next tweet… i repeat

On October 10th, Ariana Grandehas lent her image for a new T-Mobile commercial.
The “Side to Side” star is seen being the co-pilot in a car with a girl fan who’s traveling across the desert. It all will be nice between her until a Verizon data alert message pops up on the fan’s phone. She will then be forced to literally unload Ariana off of her car and stop playing her music so she can use her remaining plan data for her GPS/Google Maps only.
T-Mobile is continuing to promote their new unlimited data plan with this. Check out the video below!
I have to say, it’s never too late to celebrate when you continue to grow and expand a non-profit site to huge companies such as Billboard, MTV, and iHeartRadio. August 26 marks 3 years since I created Ariana Grande Today
This year was CRAZY! I can’t believe how this site has become in just one year. The support has been rapid and continues to grow as the rate increases! You guys have been overwhelming the Ariana Today team with so much love and kindness, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Despite unfortunately shutting down my Instagram and Facebook pages, Ariana Today still continues to get bigger with 160,000+ on Twitter!
The website has reached over 1,000,000 visitors, which is crazy, as it was the team’s goal last year to reach this milestone this year! We couldn’t have done it with you! Think we could get to 2,000,000 next year?
I’d like to most importantly thank the whole team who has stayed with me, Darius (@tattooedreams), John (@lovingallyb), and Marie (@bemybabydlx), and our former member Natasha! Thank you guys for making the most out of the site as we have become the most followed Ariana Grande update account! They have all taught me so much that I should’ve known from the start, and I lucky to have a great team!
A final thank you to Ariana for being the reason I made this. Thank you, Ari, for acknowledging the work we do here and sometimes creeping on what we tweet about you. We do all of this for you!
On April 21st, TIME released the 2016 100 Most Influential People list, and Ariana has been honoured in the Artists list! Her long time friend Jason Robert Brown wrote his profile on the artist! Check it out!
You’re going to be underestimated, you know. That’s how this goes, especially when you start young. Underestimated because you’re a girl, for one thing. Because you’re short and cute. Because you’re a child actor. Because you’re on Nickelodeon. Because you’re a white girl who wants to sing R&B. Because you wear cat ears and lingerie. Because you’re dating an actor, dating a boy-band singer, dating a rapper. You’re going to be underestimated.
But once you get used to that, once that becomes your daily bread, you recognize it as a weapon. It’s fuel. It’s oxygen. Because you know that no matter how much you are underestimated—by your peers, by casting directors, by your label, by the media, by your 39 million Twitter followers—you are going to open your mouth and that unbelievable sound is going to come out. That extraordinary, versatile, limitless instrument that allows you to shut down every objection and every obstacle. That voice—powered by nothing but your remarkable empathy, your ravenous intelligence, your cool discipline and your voracious ambition. They’re going to underestimate you, and you, my beautiful friend, are going to make music.
Brown is a composer and playwright whose musical 13 gave Grande her breakthrough role
Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber no longer share a manager.
A source tells ET that Grande recently fired Scooter Braun as her co-manager, though the decision had “nothing to do” with Bieber. “Ariana always has and continues to support Justin,” our source says. “She did not think the relationship was working for her professionally anymore. It was time to move on.”
The source adds: “She thinks this is the best professional decision for her moving forward.”
Grande continues to work with her team at Untitled Entertainment, which includes manager Stephanie Simon — a relationship that pre-dated her involvement with Braun.
ET has reached out to both Grande’s rep and Braun for comment.
The news comes as Grande is set to hit the GRAMMYs stage as a presenter on Monday. Chances are high that Braun will be in the audience, as his first major client, Bieber, is nominated and performing at the show.
But the real question is whether Grande will be joined by her grandmother, whom she affectionately calls Nonna, during the festivities. See how Nonna Grande totally stole the show at the American Music Awards back in November.
